Can we add our own requirement types?
Yes — any document or qualification category with an expiry date becomes a tracked requirement and appears on the board.
Does it stop someone working while non-compliant?
It can. Blocking assignment on an expired mandatory qualification is a configurable rule, off by default so that turning it on is a decision you make deliberately.
Who can see the compliance board?
Managers, HR and owners. It is enforced in the API — a frontline account requesting it gets a 403, not a filtered page.
Can we prove compliance to an inspector?
Export the board and the underlying documents for a location and period. The audit log covers who changed what and when.
